Just over a week ago I tore a ligament when I twisted my ankle which basically put me on bed rest for a good few days. Unfortunately this was the week before the last week of school so I missed out on the school sports day, a BBQ, a fun day and the school fleaving ceremony for the year 8's. But in a way I started my holidays earlier than expected so thats a kinda good thing!
Since I couldn't get out of the house I decided to put my free time to use and start work on some ideas for the next teaching year.
This includes several powerpoint presentations, with music and sound effects and colourful pictures which I hope will grab the interests of the ever emerging computer generation! I have used flashcards previoulsy with success. I like using them, the children like using them so I thought the introduction of a computer to the classroom and animated pictures will capture thier attention even more so. Plus it will stop me losing flashcards to children that seem to think they are for eating.
I will be happy to share these when they are ready and will make a list in the future.
